Composer, arranger, orchestrator and conductor, BOB KROGSTAD, is a well-known figure in the music business. A recipient of the Dove award and numerous Standard awards from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, Mr. Krogstad is known for his colorful orchestral and choral compositions, featured in the Closing Ceremonies of the 1996 Centennial Olympics in Atlanta, the Radio City Music Hall “Christmas Spectacular,” EPCOT Center’s “Illuminations,” Robert Schuller’s Crystal Cathedral productions of the “Glory of Christmas,” Sam’s Town’s “Sunset Stampede” (Las Vegas), Precious Moments’ “Fountain of Angels,” Dino Kartsonakis’s “Somewhere in Christmastime” Spectacular (Branson), and productions for the Disney-MGM Studios as well as Universal Studio Tour (Hollywood). He has also been musical director and arranger for major corporate event shows for Nu Skin Enterprises and the Chrysler Corporation.
His arrangements for the London Symphony were featured on the Hallmark Cards annual Christmas albums (1996-2000). His published compositions and arrangements can be found in the catalogs of Warner Brothers Music, Alfred Music, Hope Publishing, the Hal Leonard Corporation and Oxford University Press.
His music can also be heard on the albums of singers Mel Tormé, Maureen McGovern, Michael Crawford, Natalie Cole, Johnny Mathis, Daniel Narducci, Ralna English, James Darren, Drew Tretick, and inspirational artists Sandi Patty, Phil Driscoll, Bob Bailey, Steve Amerson, and Metropolitan Opera tenor, Philip Webb.
In recent years Mr. Krogstad has served as musical director for both Natalie Cole and Mel Tormé, and as symphony conductor/arranger for Sandi Patty. Between these three artists, he has conducted over thirty symphony orchestras across North America and Europe, including those of Dallas, St. Louis, Atlanta, San Francisco, Winnipeg, Detroit, Indianapolis and Houston, as well as the National Symphony, the Colorado Symphony, the Utah Symphony, the Minnesota Orchestra and the Orchestre Suisse Romande (Geneva). When he’s not touring or in the recording studio, he enjoys writing his latest creations in the friendly surroundings of the Ozarks in southwest Missouri.
